AlSiC's seismic resistance is superior to ceramics and it is used in harsh environments such as aerospace, automobiles and other fields. AlSiC in large quantities can be processed, but the technology used to process it depends on whether there is silicon carbide present. AlSiC is able to be anodized and plated in nickel, gold, silver, tin or other metals. The AlSiC can be brazed together with the ceramic metalized substrate. Printed circuit boards can also be bonded by adhesive and resin to AlSiC. AlSiC has a high airtightness. Airtightness is affected by the type of coating and the welding. AlSiC has isotropic mechanical and physical properties.
